PANCHKULA: Following Haryana government’s order, the Panchkula municipal corporation has decided to give a rebate in the current year on property tax. While 15% rebate will be available on self-certification, there will be 100% rebate on interest.

MC commissioner Sachin Gupta said the urban local bodies (ULB) have decided to give rebate on property tax in the current financial year 2023-2024. Haryana ULB had asked all MC commissioners to give a rebate on property tax to people who self-certify their properties. Following the instructions, MC Commissioner Sachin Gupta said on property tax in the last year 2022-2023, the ULB had given a rebate till December 31.

Gupta said while giving relief to the people in property tax, the government has now increased the percentage of rebate to 15%. He said 15% rebate will be given only to those people who will self-certify their property.

Self-certification will have to be done on the NDC portal.
