AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) authorities sealed 1,850 properties in the city’s western region due to property tax defaults. The property tax department collected Rs 2.3 crore during this enforcement drive.
The civic body issued 3,928 notices to residential property owners who had not cleared their property tax dues. AMC officials cautioned that failure to pay would result in disconnection of water and sewerage services.
In the southwest zone, the property tax department took action against 232 defaulting properties by sealing them.
The solid waste management division took action against public littering by serving notices to 299 establishments across various city locations, and proceeded to seal two units.
