AHMEDABAD: The property tax department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation sealed 1,970 properties of tax defaulters in the West Zone on Thursday. A revenue of Rs 1.78 crore in property tax was collected in a single day.
In the North West Zone, 388 properties of tax defaulters were sealed, resulting in a collection of Rs 1.28 crore in property tax in a day. In the South West Zone, 308 properties of tax defaulters were sealed.
The AMC is issuing notices to those who have not paid their residential property tax. If the amount is not paid by March 31, water and sewer connections to such properties will be disconnected.
