AHMEDABAD : The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) conducted a massive sealing operation against property tax defaulters on Tuesday, taking action against 2,829 property owners across the city. The civic body also issued directives to disconnect water and sewerage services in several areas.
The property tax department’s north-west zone officials sealed 536 properties, while authorities in the south-west zone took similar action against 405 properties.
The civic body disconnected the water and sewerage supply of four residential properties belonging to tax defaulters in Jay Murlidhar Society and Morarji Park Society of Vejalpur. Additionally, officials sealed 1,888 properties of defaulters in the east zone.
