NEW DELHI: Akshay Kumar has sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for Rs 4.25 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards.

The transaction was registered in January 2025.

The property is situated in Sky City, developed by Oberoi Realty and spread across 25 acres. It is a ready-to-move-in residential project offering 3BHK, 3BHK+Studio and duplex apartments.

As per the IGR property registration documents, the apartment features a carpet area of 1073 sq ft (99.71 sq meters) and includes two car parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs. 25.5 lakh and registration charges of Rs. 30,000.

Kumar had purchased the apartment in November 2017 for Rs 2.38 crore, reflecting a 78% appreciation in value in seven years.

According to Square Yards, Oberoi Sky City has recorded 216 sale registrations with a total transaction value of Rs 848 crore from January to December 2024. The average resale property price for in the project currently stands at Rs 39,522 per sq ft.

Recently Amitabh Bachchan had sold his duplex apartment with a built-up area of 5,704 sq ft in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for Rs 83 crore.

The property was located in The Atlantis, a residential project by Crystal Group. Bachchan had purchased the apartment for Rs 31 crore in April 2021, registering 168% increase in value.
