NASHIK: The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will soon start allotment of small plots at the newly set up industrial area at Talegaon-Akrale in Dindori taluka of the district.
An MIDC official, while talking to TOI, said two highly reputed firms, including a state-owned oil marketing company, have decided to invest Rs 2,500 crore for setting up a pharma company and manufacturing cryogenic tanks at the new industrial estate. “These two industries have been allotted over 200 acres, while remaining plots are yet to be allotted to the industries,” the official said.
“There has been constant demand from the industries to allot smaller plots — from 500 sq metres to 2 acres and above — to the MSMEs so that they can also start production,” the official added. During a of Zilla Udyog Mitra (ZUM) meeting held last month, Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association and Ambad Industries & Manufacturers’ Association (AIMA) — had also demanded allotment of the plots.
