Andhra Pradesh government announces 145 crore waiver on Tidco loans, ET RealEstate

VIJAYAWADA: In a relief for the AP Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTidco) housing beneficiaries, state govt has announced a 145 crore waiver on Tidco loans for beneficiaries across the state.

Subsequently, the APTidco corporation aims to complete the 4,500 pending housing complexes in the Jakkampudi housing layout and hand them over to the beneficiaries at the earliest.

APTidco chairman Vemulapati Ajay Kumar announced that the NDA alliance-led state govt, under chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, decided to pay 145 crore in interest dues for Tidco beneficiaries to banks in the state. He stated that govt will settle the interest dues within 15 days, once issues concerning the state finance guarantee are resolved.

He further stated that state govt is working to provide all essential amenities, such as roads, drainage systems, drinking water, and electricity. These infrastructure projects are expected to be completed within the next 12 months in Tidco housing layouts, after which the houses will be handed over to the beneficiaries.

Additionally, govt has set a target to complete the 8,284 pending houses under Phase 1 of the Tidco housing project in Jakkampudi economic city.
