BENGALURU: BBMP Thursday ordered that building plan approvals will not be issued for converted lands without a single plot/layout development plan approval from local planning authorities. The order was issued a month after BDA wrote to the Palike on the issue.

However, according to the order, there is no restriction on issuing building plan approvals for properties or plots having CTS (city title survey) number, properties transferred from CMCs/TMCs/gram panchayat and entered in ‘A’ khata registry, plots from BDA-approved layouts, plots that have already availed building plan and applied for revised plan approval, and plots allotted to beneficiaries from KHB, KIADB and other govt bodies.

The BBMP chief commissioner said in the order that even if land records have already been registered for converted land, building construction permission shouldn’t be granted for such plots if there is no approval for a single plot/layout development plan from the competent authority.
