BENGALURU: An FIR was registered against the owner and the developers of a building in Mallathahalli, RR Nagar zone, for allegedly violating the sanctioned building plan and constructing the residential structure according to their own plan. This action followed a complaint from BBMP‘s assistant director of urban planning, RR Nagar division and zone.

BBMP had approved a building plan for property owners G Lakshmi Prasad and D Hardeep and A Vijaykumar, partners of GPA holder Lactin Developers, in plots nos. 6 and 7 in Mallathahalli village. The approved plan was for constructing a stilt + ground floor + four floors with a total built-up area of 1389 square metres.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the developers had constructed six floors, with each floor containing four units, resulting in a total of 20 units. This construction significantly deviated from the approved plan, with the additional floors and units not authorised by BBMP.

The complaint revealed that a fake building plan deviating from the sanctioned plan was prepared to construct the structure and the fake plan lacked the signature of the assistant director of urban planning.

Consequently, BBMP has issued notices to the developers to remove the unauthorised portions of the under-construction building.

The civic agency has requested Jnanabharathi police to take action against Lakshmi Prasad, Hardeep, Vijaykumar and architect Vinod P who is allegedly complicit in the creation of the fake plan.
