Bradley Cooper’s Homes: A Peek Inside His Real Estate Portfolio

Architectural Digest logo

Bradley Cooper’s homes are what you may expect for a star of his caliber: an NYC penthouse and multiple California pads. His recent rumored purchase, however, is something a bit more unexpected—but more on that later.

The Maestro filmmaker is up for several Oscars this year, marking a tremendous benchmark in his creative trajectory. He’s come a long way from his early breakout roles in Wedding Crashers and The Hangover, and over the years the multihyphenate’s real estate decisions have been measured and intentional. The care that he pours into each residence shows. The Nightmare Alley star worked with designer Santillana de Chanaleilles to completely reimagine his Venice bungalow, for instance. Below, we’ve rounded up several of Cooper’s most distinguished homes, each with its own personality and flair.

Venice bungalow starter home

When Cooper purchased his first home—a $1.19 million secluded bungalow in Venice Beach—in 2004, he had already found some acclaim on the hit series Alias and had bit roles on shows like Sex and the City and in films like Wet Hot American Summer. The following year, Cooper would make a big splash with a starring role in Wedding Crashers, and the rest, as they say, is history. His sweet 1,571-square-foot starter home was the perfect spot to launch a career. He worked with French designer Santillane de Chanaleille to reimagine the two-bedroom, two-bathroom abode into a luxurious, earthy residence resplendent with reclaimed wood ceilings, terra-cotta tile flooring, and a sunlit open floor plan. French doors in the living areas opened out onto manicured gardens. Cooper converted the garage into a bonus multiuse space with high-vaulted ceilings and black accordion doors leading out to the garden. The actor listed the property for $2.4 million in 2023 and sold it for $3.13 million shortly afterward.

Pacific Palisades contemporary

Several years later, in 2009, Cooper picked up a 3,335-square-foot property in the Pacific Palisades for $4.7 million. The actor had hit a stride at that point and was a veritable hot commodity in Hollywood, with movies like The Hangover, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Case 39 under his belt. Details of the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home are scant, but it was here that Cooper and his then girlfriend Irina Shayk welcomed a daughter together in 2017, and where Cooper’s mom Gloria later came to live with them. Cooper still owns this home.

Manhattan penthouse

Cooper released his remake of A Star Is Born in 2018—to much acclaim—and that same year paid $13.5 million for a five-story townhouse in NYC’s West Village. The impressive residence measures 4,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms spread across the five levels. Luxe details include a whole-house audio system, heated floors, a custom lighting program, 12-foot ceilings, polished, reclaimed wood floors, and a classic red brick exterior. There’s a media room, a kitchen with an exposed-beam ceiling, and a primary bathroom with a gray slate shower and a cast-iron tub with a skylight. The 1,000-square-foot backyard features a built-in grill and a ping-pong table surrounded by white birch trees and shrubs. Cooper likely still owns this penthouse.

Second Pacific Palisades mansion

A few years later, Cooper picked up a second property in Pacific Palisades—this time, a $4.8 million mansion situated in a gated community. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom pad measures around 4,400 square feet and is very private thanks to abundant greenery that grows around its perimeter. The rustic residence features stylish wood paneling on the exterior, with a detached two-story garage and a separate two-story guesthouse with its own living areas and kitchenette. One of the home’s biggest selling points is its backyard, with a stone-lined swimming pool and spa, as well as a koi pond lined with fruit trees and sycamore and oak trees. Cooper still maintains this pad as his primary West Coast home.

Possible Pennsylvania property

In the fall of 2023, Cooper was rumored to be dating supermodel Gigi Hadid. By the end of the year, the actor had reportedly picked up a property near New Hope, Pennsylvania, where Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, has a $4 million horse farm. Though it’s unclear whether or not the rumors are true—and if so, what sort of pad Cooper’s added to his portfolio—the alleged move would actually be a full-circle moment for the Philadelphia native.
