PATNA: State rural development department minister Shravan Kumar on Monday disbursed Rs 301.18 crore among 75,000 people in the state as the first instalment under PM Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
The minister transferred the amount into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries digitally at a function in Patna. The landless beneficiaries got Rs1.20 lakh each while those having own land were paid Rs 40,000 each as the first instalment.
The minister also handed over the keys to the beneficiaries whose houses had already been constructed.
The total amount is paid in three instalments on phase-wise construction of the houses under PMAY.
He said funds would also be released for toilets and the MGNREGA workers would be paid Rs1250 each.
