INDORE: With its plan to develop new residential schemes, the Indore Development Authority (IDA) is contemplating proposing a budget of around Rs 1,650 crore for the next financial year. According to official sources, the next financial year’s budget will include provisions for a few new residential schemes. There is a huge demand for IDA’s properties, and the authority, due to the non-availability of land, couldn’t launch new schemes in the recent past.
The IDA has planned to initiate the development of a Startup Park and a Convention Centre. Both of these projects were also part of the current financial year’s budget but couldn’t be initiated due to different reasons. Official sources revealed that the IDA has made some changes, and now a 22-floor building will be developed as a Startup Park on around 8 hectares of land on the Super Corridor. The digitalisation of lakhs of records of the IDA is also part of the new budget.
There is also a plan to initiate the construction of a convention centre with a capacity of around 10,000 on approximately 17 hectares of land near the Super Corridor. Besides, the IDA is contemplating developing two new ISBTs on Bhopal and Dhar Road. After its Kumedi and Naytamundla newly developed ISBTs, there will be four modern bus stands in as many directions for the easy operation of buses.
The IDA has also planned to increase greenery in its schemes along with developing the Kanh-Saraswati Riverfront Corridor. Besides, some roads, including the 8-km-long stretch of MR-12 and an Anaz Mandi in Morod, are likely to be tabled in the next financial year’s budget.
