LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will cancel the property allocations of allottees who, despite receiving notices, failed to complete their property registration process.
The decision was made after a review of pending registration cases by LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar on Wednesday. He directed officials to prepare a cancellation proposal within a week.
The review revealed that 235 allottees under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Sharda Nagar Extension and Basantkunj Scheme paid in full but have yet to apply for registration.
Similarly, nearly 300 flat buyers across different apartments completed payments but have not registered their properties.
The other pending registrations include 40 properties in Gomti Nagar Extension, 51 in Jankipuram and Jankipuram Extension, 93 in Kanpur Road Scheme, 135 in Basantkunj, and several commercial and rental properties. Notices have already been sent, yet many allottees have not applied.
To expedite registrations, LDA is conducting a special camp from March 24 to March 29, with on-the-spot file processing. On April 2 and 3, the registration department will finalise registrations. Officials have been directed to issue final notices and cancel allocations for non-compliant allottees.
Meanwhile, on the third day of the registration camp, around 135 applications were received, and 93 registration files were prepared for the registry process.
