LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to introduce an upgraded feature to check land use details in its upcoming new portal.
This initiative aims to provide transparent and comprehensive land details, curbing property disputes and fraudulent land sales. It addresses growing concerns over misrepresented land use, where commercial plots, sewage treatment plant areas, green belts, and roads were falsely sold as residential properties.
Currently, LDA provides only basic property details, such as the owner’s name, registration status, and deposit records. However, the crucial land use classification is often missing, leading to confusion among buyers. The upcoming portal will address this issue by offering detailed land use reports, ensuring buyers have accurate information before making transactions.
The new system will allow users to obtain land use reports for any area within LDA’s jurisdiction by simply entering the tehsil, village name, and plot number.
Additionally, individuals will have the option to obtain an official Land Use NOC by paying a nominal fee, reducing the scope for disputes and ensuring greater transparency in property transactions.
LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar said, “The new portal will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, improving response times and enabling real-time verification of land records. The authority is moving away from its outdated ERP software, which is no longer supported, and replacing it with a more efficient and user-friendly system. The revamped portal will also simplify existing services, making it easier for citizens to access digital property records.”
