LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will conduct a survey of vacant plots to curb fraud in property registrations.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar on Friday directed officials to complete the process within 15 days. Furthermore, entry of suspicious individuals into the LDA office will be prohibited and a visitor pass will be mandatory for access to any desk.
This action follows the arrest of six individuals by the Uttar Pradesh STF for their involvement in fraudulent land registrations in Gomtinagar.
The LDA is also implementing a new software system to enhance data security and prevent tampering. Kumar stated that the old portal’s technical flaws compromised data security.
