Ludhiana: Continuing its crackdown on illegal constructions, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation sealed non-compoundable portions of six hotels in the city Thursday.
Among these are Hotel Friends Regency, Hotel Nagpal Regency, Hotel Onn, Hotel Silver Stone, Hotel Diamond and Hotel Surya Regency.
Civic officials said a case pertaining to the violations done by the owners of the six hotels is subjudice in the Punjab and Haryana high court. The court directed the MC to act against the violators, they added.
This comes barely weeks after a hotel under construction in block-H of Sarabha Nagar was sealed by the MC for not obtaining the building plan approval.
The Muncipal Corporation officials urged residents to commence construction work only after obtaining the necessary clearances, or else face action.
