Anyone who has paid their dues in the fashion industry is likely familiar with Carly Cushnie’s name. Over the past two decades, the New York–based fashion designer and creative director has been showcasing her talents on the runway to the wardrobes of some of the most influential women of our time, like Michelle Obama, Lupita Nyong’o, and Ava DuVernay. Now she’s stepping into the home space with her first-ever furniture line in collaboration with Lulu and Georgia.

After working on a project with the fashion-forward furniture company in 2022, an opportunity arose for Cushnie to continue collaborating with them on an exclusive collaboration. Nearly two years later, the 10-piece collection has finally arrived, marking a huge milestone for Cushnie that she’s eager to share with the world. “There [are] so many pieces that I really love,” she says. “I love the Mahoe Oval Coffee Table— it’s marble and travertine [with] this beautiful soft shape. I love the mixture of the geometric stripe for the drawers of the Sabal Console Table with the burl marble table.”

The Ramoon Dining Table and eight Kapok Dining Chairs are ideal for an intimate gathering.

Described by the designer as furniture for a “living and dining space,” the collection is versatile for any room in the home, including the Ceiba Bench and Canistel Bench for a thoughtful addition to an entryway. But the luxurious line wouldn’t be complete without a range of comfortable seating—for instance, the vintage-like Yucca Sofa is available in a range of earthy hues. Ideal for a relaxing movie night, Cushnie notes that it “feels deep enough that you can really sink into it.”

The Yucca Sofa, paired with fabulously fringed Leon Chairs, is available in eight lush shades.
