LUCKNOW: Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice-chairperson, Indramani Tripathi, has directed the removal of all illegal encroachments from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) housing buildings in Vasant Kunj following an inspection on Tuesday.
During the inspection, the LDA V-C found that individuals had occupied the corridors and common areas of the colony with illegal shops and other commercial activities. In response, the V-C instructed the concerned engineers to eliminate all encroachments within two days. Besides, he said that any form of commercial activity within the premises is impermissible and warned of repercussions for those involved.
Further, Tripathi ordered the establishment of parking spaces for vehicles by installing interlocking tiles in the common areas. Additionally, he mandated horticultural work to be undertaken in the parks situated across various blocks of the colony.
The LDA V-C also inspected the Green Corridor Project and directed that the entire route be cleaned, with site development works to be completed by April 15.
“The PMAY and Green Corridor schemes are aimed at providing exemplary services to the citizens. Any lapse in execution will not be tolerated,” said the LDA V-C.
