Comedian and actor David Spade just dropped a cool $9.5 million on a contemporary home in the Southern California neighborhood of Corona Del Mar, in the city of Newport Beach, per Mansion Global. Finishing touches were added on to the newly-built dwelling earlier last year.
Upon entrance, visitors are greeted with an airy atrium that highlights the home’s neutral color palette. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence was designed and developed by architect Mark Teale and Nicholson Companies to make ample use of the abundant Orange County natural light, which combines with the earth tones throughout to embody an organic California ethos.
The single-level estate features a spacious open concept across 4,300 square feet of living space, including a kitchen with a quartz-clad waterfall island, state-of-the-art appliances, and a walk-in pantry. Elsewhere in the abode, the primary suite boasts a fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom. The well-appointed bedroom is attached to a loggia-covered patio, which provides a prime view of the Catalina Island backdrop.
Other amenities include a pool, a spa, scenic hiking trails nearby and access to four private beaches in the area. It’s also close to the luxury dining, shopping, and entertainment hub of Newport Beach.
The SNL star has bought and sold a number of Southern California homes in recent years, including a Hollywood Hills mansion on which he dropped $13.85 million in 2021. He sold his longtime Beverly Hills residence, which he’d purchased for $4 million over two decades ago, for $19.5 million in early 2022.
