NEW DELHI: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has pushed back the deadline for the final payment instalment for over 1,800 premium flats in Dwarka 19B, which were sold via e-auction last year. The new deadline for paying the remaining 25% of the total value is Oct 31, instead of Sept 28.
The authority stated that the decision was taken after considering buyers’ requests for more time to manage their finances and the ongoing finishing work in the flats.
“In light of several representations from the allottees of flats in towers A to K, requesting additional time to complete their payments and considering the necessity for a few extra days to finalise finishing work before physical possession of the flats could be handed over, the competent authority has decided to extend the payment deadline.
The new deadline for payment without interest has been extended to Oct 31,” the authority said in a circular on Tuesday.
Buyers have expressed dissatisfaction as various essential arrangements, such as providing electricity and water connections, installing the main entrance gate, security staff, and developing recreation areas, are yet to be completed.
In other news, DDA received an enthusiastic response to the e-auction of 10 flats and penthouses out of the 173 flats offered under the Dwarka Housing Scheme on Tuesday. All ten flats were sold out. “In Tuesday’s bidding, there was a penthouse, three Super High-Income Group (HIG) flats and six HIG flats. These were sold much above the reserve price,” an official said.
On Wednesday, DDA offered 17 flats in e-auction — 12 HIG and five MIG. “All were sold out much above the base price,” the official said.
