GURUGRAM: The enforcement wing of town and country planning department (DTCP) has written to the district revenue officer (DRO) to recover dues from four builders who haven’t cooperated with the authorities in carrying out the structural audit in the second round of the first phase.

In a meeting held on Feb 16, which was chaired by deputy commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, it was strictly instructed that if any builder does not cooperate with the structural audit, the DRO will recover the audit amount in form of land revenue arrears.

Under the first phase, the visual inspection of 15 societies was completed but under the second round, destructive and non-destructive tests were to be conducted for structural strength.

“Letters were written by DTPE to all builders on the expenses incurred on the audit but only a few developers deposited the money till date,” said an official.

The builder management of six societies assured the deputy commissioner’s office that they would get the audit done through the consultant appointed by the administration and submit the report to the administration committee.

The developers of Central Park 2 in Sector 48, Peaceful Homes in Sector 70A, Tulip Ivory in Sector 70A, Spaze Privy in Sector 72, Signature Solera in Sector 107 and Mahendra Aura in Sector 110A assured an audit from the consultant appointed by the administration soon. However, developers of Vedanta in Sector 108, Atharva in Sector 109, Park Place in Sector 54, Irene Society in Sector 70A have not deposited the funds.

District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav said the developers of the remaining four societies have neither deposited funds nor got an audit done. The department has written to the revenue department to recover the dues from them.

According to the letter, an audit amount of Rs 56 lakh will be recovered from Vedanta, Rs 20 lakh from Atharva, Rs 61 lakh from Park Place and Rs 19 lakh from Paras Irene.
