Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Homes: Here’s Where One of the Highest Paid Actors Ever Owns Property

It’s unclear when The Rock bought a 9,120-square-foot mansion in California’s Hidden Hills, but he sold it in 2012 for $4.9 million. The façade of the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom dwelling featured both Mediterranean and neoclassical elements. Inside, a massive foyer with an intricate chandelier greeted guests at the front door. Major highlights included a primary bedroom with a sleek, black fireplace and room enough for lounging; a movie theater; a chef’s kitchen with stainless-steel appliances; and a custom home gym. The home boasted views of the Hollywood Hills, a kitchen equipped with a barbecue grill, and an infinity pool and spa perched on a cliff’s edge.

Palatial European digs

In 2018, when The Rock was filming the Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw across the pond in London, the actor rented a palatial dwelling in the upscale neighborhood of Richmond in South West London. On the three-acre property sat a grand neoclassical dwelling with five living rooms, staff quarters, indoor and outdoor pools, and a tennis court, all beside a lake. There was enough room on the estate for The Rock to set up the fully equipped mobile gym he called Iron Paradise. Johnson also entertained a visitor while there: a horse called Rusty who Russell Crowe rode in Gladiator and Robin Hood.

Ranch in Georgia

The country-life aficionado dropped $9.5 million (reportedly in cash) on another farm in 2019, this time in a pastoral Georgia town called Powder Springs, located 45 minutes outside of Atlanta. The 46-acre horse farm came with a 12-stall barn and riding arena, a 150-year-old farmhouse that was used as a caretaker’s cottage, and a 14,791-square-foot main house. Built in 2002, the eight-bedroom, six-bathroom main house resembled a French country manor and featured a partial stone façade, walnut hardwood floors throughout the interiors, wood beam ceilings, stone fireplaces, and a marble bathroom. The home also included a wood-paneled library with stained glass and a custom wine cellar. Surrounding the manse were a freeform salt-water pool with a cabana and a large pond. The father of three put it up for sale at $7.5 million—$1.5 million less than what he paid—after only about a year of ownership, though it does not seem that the place sold, and it is no longer on the market.

Beverly Hills family home

In 2021, The Rock reportedly shelled out over $27.8 million for the largest estate in North Beverly Park. The 3.67-acre property in the celebrity-packed community (Sofia Vergara and Denzel Washington live there), considered to be one of Hollywood’s most exclusive residential pockets, happens to have a star-studded pedigree. Johnson paid Stranger Things actor Paul Reiser for the Mediterranean-style home which was built in 1993 by drummer Alex Van Halen of legendary rock band Van Halen. Six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms are spread across a main house and a 2,500-square-foot guesthouse, totaling almost 17,630 square feet of living space. The amenities on the estate rival any luxury resort with a full-size tennis court, a baseball diamond, an elevator, movie theater, a music studio built by Van Halen, indoor and outdoor pools, an olive-tree-lined driveway leading to a motor court, and a fully equipped gym (would it be a Dwayne Johnson house if there were no gym?). Johnson, his wife, and children currently use this as their main residence.
