If you were dreaming about leaving the world behind to move into Ethan Hawke’s charming former New York City home, you’re officially out of luck. The Manhattan town house that previously belonged to the actor and director is now under contract, the New York Post reports.

Listed at $5.98 million just last month, the six-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom town house is lined with the sprawling bookcases and brick fireplaces that one might expect from the Chelsea Walls filmmaker. Spanning 3,600 square feet of living space over four stories (plus an unfinished basement) the 21-foot-wide home is located in a landmarked district of NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood. On the ground floor, you’ll find a second unit, which has been used as part of the main home through the past several residencies.

On the main level, the bold color palette has remained the same since Hawke’s ownership, the listing carefully notes. A faux-retro red refrigerator offers a stark contrast to the mustard yellow cabinetry, while luxe features like a six-burner Wolfe stove and Bosch dishwasher bring home that “understated, but celebrity-owned” feeling.
