CHANDIGARH: The finance and contract committee (F&CC) of the Chandigarh municipal corporation on Tuesday approved 17 additional construction and demolition (C&D) waste collection points at various locations at a cost of Rs 41 lakh.
During the monthly meeting, the committee discussed and approved multiple agenda items. The meeting was held under the supervision of mayor Anup Gupta and was attended by elected members and senior administrative and engineering officers of the civic body.
The committee has also extended the contract for operation and maintenance of gaushalas in Maloya and Sector 45 for a period of November 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh. The agenda on providing and laying of pipeline along with construction of new machine holes and road gullies in Industrial Area Phase-I for smooth functioning of storm water drainage system was given a go-ahead. The project will cost Rs 48 lakh.
The F&CC also approved the agenda on construction of shed, laying cement concrete flooring and store for casting unit at C&D Waste Processing Plant at a cost of Rs 17.6 lakh.
