BHOPAL: The Ayodhya Nagar police on Monday registered FIRs against two landlords for allegedly failing to provide mandatory tenant verification, a violation of Section 163 BNSS, as per orders issued by Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra.

The landlords, identified as Harisingh Yadav and Manoj Kumar Gupta, both residents of N-Sector in Ayodhya Nagar, were found in breach of the directive during routine patrolling and checks.

SHO Ayodhya Nagar Mahesh Lilhare said that the Commissioner mandated landlords and institutions to update tenant and employee information on the police portal or submit it at the respective police stations.

The directive, widely circulated through police stations and media platforms, aims to ensure accountability and safety in residential areas.

SHO Lilhare said that during the inspections, it was discovered that landlords Harisingh Yadav and Manoj Kumar Gupta failed to report details of their tenants to the police or update them on the portal.

This was a violation of the issued orders under Section 223 BNSS. As a result, FIRs were registered under the relevant sections of the law, and investigations are underway.
