Flat owners protest outside builder’s office Gurgaon, ET RealEstate

GURUGRAM: Objecting to the transfer of maintenance to the RWA, a group of residents of Adani Oyster Grande on Tuesday gathered at the developer’s office in Sector 49 and staged a protest, demanding no transfer of interest-free maintenance security (IFMS) charges.

Residents alleged that the developer is trying to hand over common assets and funds to RWA, which does not represent them, despite the matter pending before registrar general of societies. Launched in 2012, the project is divided into two parts. According to residents, the developer had formed an RWA in 2019 without having representations from towers G, H and J.

Consequently, the other side of the project also formed a separate RWA in September 2023.

SK Sharma, president of Grand Premia Condominium Welfare Association, said, “When we got to know the other RWA, in connivance with the developer, is trying to take over the maintenance of both the sides, we raised our objection. Even after complaints to HRera, they are not stopping. Therefore, we are left with no option, but to protest.”

When contacted, Hari Bhagwan, president of Oyster Grande Condominium Association, said they have complained to HRera about illegal formation fo the second RWA.

Spokesperson for Adani M2K Projects LLP, said, “We are in consultation with both RWAs and will handover the corpus as per the adjudication order.”
