GURUGRAM: Aiming to strengthen its dialogue with RWAs to resolve citizen concerns, MCG said it will regularly hold meetings with the associations.
On Tuesday, MCG commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg announced a meeting schedule: 2pm on Jan 9 for zone 1 RWAs at Sector 4 community centre, and 2pm on Jan 10 for zone 2 RWAs at Freedom Fighter District Council Building in Civil Lines. Garg added that meetings for zones 3 and 4 RWAs will be announced soon.
“These meetings are aimed at gaining insights into citizens’ difficulties and facilitating group discussions to find effective solutions. Our focus will be identifying the problem and then resolving them,” the MCG chief said.
The corporation continues to organise samadhan camps to resolve residents’ complaints.
On Tuesday, the commissioner attended 12 complaints at the camp held at the corporation office in Sector 34. Five of the 12 complaints, related to property tax data correction, were solved on the spot.
The commissioner instructed the zonal taxation officers present at the camp to ensure quick resolution of complaints related to names, addresses, etc., in the property tax data so the citizens can avoid unnecessary visits.
He said officials should personally inspect complaints related to sewer overflow, drinking water line leakage, and enforcement issues, and ensure their swift resolution.
“A timeline should be set to ensure a permanent solution, with subsequent actions. Complainants should also be kept informed throughout these processes,” Garg added. He also said that the objective of these meetings is to ensure timely resolution of complaints and provide relief to the residents.
