VISAKHAPATNAM: The district collector Harendira Prasad instructed the Housing Department officials to stage updation should be done for more than 71,000 houses as per the guidelines and wishes of the state and central governments.
Collector conducted a review of the urban and rural housing in various layouts and progress with the Housing Department and other departments. It is recalled that the housing works sanctioned around 138 layouts in rural areas and 64 layouts in urban areas.
A total of 1.29 lakh houses were sanctioned out of 1.39 lakh. The housing construction is at various stages, except 23,995 houses which were completed.
Collector said that everyone should work according to the 100-day action plan of the government. He asked the officials to stage updation should be done for 71,133 houses, 4109 houses level should go to slab level and 11,450 houses should be completed.
He instructed the officials that work should be started in all layouts and interact with contractors and beneficiaries. Internal reviews should be conducted and a progress report every day should be submitted from August 10. Officers should ensure that beneficiaries should come for Geo Tagging
