LUCKNOW: The housing department managed to increase its revenue by 1.75 times during the 2023-24 fiscal compared to the previous year. For the first time revenue of the housing development authorities crossed the Rs 10,000 crore benchmark.
Generating Rs 12,738 crore for the state coffers the Awas Vikas Parishad (UP housing board) collected the maximum amount followed by LDA. While the housing board replenished the kitty with Rs 3,757 crore, LDA was able to make Rs 1,709 crore. The housing department was able to churn out close to Rs 7,278 crore during the 2022-23 financial year.
ACS of the department Nitin Ramesh Gokarn said, “We cut annual expenditure significantly as well while generating increased revenue.”
