116 Families Celebrate New Beginnings with Affordable Housing Allotments in Bhubaneswar, ET RealEstate

BHUBANESWAR: In a move towards providing affordable housing to slum dwellers, 116 families received allotment letters under the affordable housing project (AHP) at IDCOL auditorium on Tuesday .

Housing & urban development minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, who also chairs the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), distributed the letters to beneficiaries from three different housing projects: 47 for Chandrasekharpur AHP, 36 for Nilamadhab Awas AHP, and 28 for Barunei Enclave AHP in Subudhipur.

“Owning a house in the capital city is a dream for many. Through these affordable housing schemes, we are not just providing shelter but ensuring a better quality of life with proper infrastructure and basic amenities,” said Mahapatra during the ceremony.The allotment process was conducted through a transparent lottery system under independent observation.

BDA officials confirmed that the remaining houses across all projects will be distributed in phases to eligible beneficiaries.
