KOLHAPUR: The civic body has asked owners of dilapidated and dangerous buildings to carry out the structural audit, carry out the repairs as suggested by experts, and report to KMC before monsoons.

The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) issued a public disclosure on Friday in this regard.

KMC city engineer Netradip Sarnobat said, “It has been observed that many buildings in Kolhapur city are in a dangerous condition. We have asked the house owners to get their buildings inspected by expert structural engineers. They are also required to carry out necessary repairs.”

“If any building or a part of it collapses, the citizen should report it immediately to the KMC fire department by dailing 101,” Saronbat added.

Additionally, citizens can reach out to the divisional offices of the civic body by dialing the following numbers: Gandhi Maidan, Divisional Office No. 1, Telephone Numbers: 2622262 and 2620270; Shivaji Market, Divisional Office No. 2, Telephone Numbers: 2543844 and 2543088; Rajarampuri, Divisional Office No. 3, Telephone Numbers: 2521615 and 2530012; and Tararani Market, Divisional Office No. 4, Telephone Numbers: 2536726 and 2530011.
