NEW DELHI: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will start booking newly constructed flats under Phase 2 of the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme on Nov 14.

Over 2,500 flats will be offered in Rohini, Dwarka, Mangolpuri, Ramgarh, Loknayakpuram, Siraspur, Narela, and other parts of the city under this scheme. The registration for those who want to buy the flats is already in progress. The cost of the flats will start from Rs 11.5 lakh onwards, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The flats offered in different categories include over 250 LIG flats in Rohini Sector 34 and 35, costing Rs 12-15.5 lakh and 180 EWS flats in the Mangolpuri area, costing Rs 32-35 lakh.

The categories offered also include 1,800 EWS flats at prices ranging between Rs 18-20 lakh in Sector A1-A4 (Pocket 1A, 1B, and 1C) at Narela. The remaining flats will be in Narela, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram and other areas.

“We aim to facilitate people buying their own house in Delhi, and all these flats offered in Phase 2 of the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme are ready for moving in. People can visit our website and register prior to booking flats, and they can also visit the site,” an official said.

This is in addition to the ongoing sale of the remaining flats out of a total of 9,000 flats offered under Phase I of three schemes – Sasta Ghar, Madhyama Vargiya and Dwarka Housing Scheme, launched in Aug.

Officials claimed that at least 1,650 flats out of nearly 9,000 flats offered in Phase I of the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme and Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme were being sold on a first-come, first-served basis at Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh and Siraspur in various categories until the end of Sept.

Further, out of 169 flats offered through e-auction in the Dwarka Housing Scheme in Sector 14, 16B, and 19B of Dwarka under Penthouse, HIG, Super HIG, and MIG categories, over 130 flats were sold.

“Over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats were sold out in the Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya schemes, with Rohini leading where all 708 LIG flats were sold, while around 250 flats were booked in Narela. Ramgarh also received an impressive response. Out of 183 LIG flats in the scheme, 153 flats were sold. Among the EWS segment, around 300 flats were sold out in Narela, and all 139 flats offered in Loknayakpuram were also booked,” an official said.

Meanwhile, in and around unsold housing pockets, DDA will develop green areas at earmarked sites and give a finished look.

In addition to this, the authority claims to have pursued local bodies to ensure that cleanliness of these areas is not compromised. “DDA’s horticulture department is busy developing greens around the housing pockets to improve the quality of life for buyers. Apart from pursuing MCD for taking up the cleaning task in flats or areas under their authority, we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure green and clean surroundings in areas under our authority,” said an official.
