NOIDA: On the eve of Diwali, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to launch a residential plot scheme offering 821 plots in Sectors 18 and 24A near the Noida International Airport.
Applications for the same will open on Oct 31 and close on Nov 30, with a draw scheduled for Dec 27. The scheme emphasises smaller plot sizes, officials said.
YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said that this initiative provides another chance for those eager to build homes close to the airport. The finalised brochure for the scheme lists plot sizes of 120 sqm, 162 sqm, 200 sqm, and, for the first time, 250 sqm.
Sector 24A will have 344 plots on offer, while Sector 18’s Blocks 9A and 9B will feature 477 plots, Singh added.
YEIDA’s previous scheme, launched in July this year for 361 residential plots, attracted nearly 1.9 lakh applicants, averaging 518 applications per plot. This trend is expected to continue, driven by the area’s rapid development with the airport and film city projects underway.
The previous scheme offered plot sizes ranging from 120 to 4,000 sqm, priced at Rs 29,500 per sqm.
According to officials, interest in plots around the airport has grown significantly since the airport foundation was laid in Nov 2021. Prior to this, response to YEIDA’s schemes was lukewarm due to the area’s perceived distance from Noida and Greater Noida.
