DTCP directs Ireo Victory Valley RWA to allow EWS families access to flats, ET RealEstate

GURUGRAM: The enforcement wing of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Friday issued a notice to the RWA of Ireo Victory Valley residential society in Sector 67 for allegedly denying EWS flat owners access to their own homes or basic amenities.

In a recent grievance hearing, chaired by deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav, the allottees of EWS flats accused the RWA of not allowing them to live in their own properties and denying them basic amenities available to other residents of the society, such as access to parks and other common areas.

The deputy commissioner then directed the district town planner (enforcement) to take immediate action.

The DTP then issued the notice on Friday, directing the RWA to provide residents access to the EWS flats and restore basic amenities within a period of 15 days.

The notice states that any failure to comply would result in legal action as per the norms. The deputy commissioner has also instructed the district registrar to personally oversee the matter and take action as required in accordance with the applicable laws if the RWA fails to adhere to the order.

Meanwhile, a member of the RWA said there is no separate entry for EWS flats as mentioned in the society’s layout plan. “Neither DTCP nor the builder have taken any steps whatsoever to make provisions for EWS entry from Ramgarh village as per the layout plan. We have not received any order so far from DTP, but if it has issued a notice, it has been done without giving the RWA any opportunity to be heard on the issue,” he said.

“EWS occupants are provided all essential services by the RWA and they are not charged any common area maintenance charges as per DTCP norms,” the member added.
