IDA Approves ₹320 Crore for Development Projects in Indore, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate

INDORE: Indore Development Authority (IDA) has approved Rs 320 crore for various development work, including three flyovers and roads on Wednesday.

In a meeting, the IDA board also decided to appoint a consultant for a feasibility survey of major roads and squares of the city to propose utility and suitability of cable-car ropeway transit system on public-private partnership (PPP) mode. IDA chairman Jaypal Singh Chawda put several proposals and some of them were approved with permission of the board’s members.

Other major decisions taken during the meeting were carrying out a feasibility survey between Rajiv Gandhi Square and Devi Ahilyabai fruit and vegetable market for developing a flyover there, appointing a consultant to prepare Indore Regional Development Plan, giving an administrative approval of Rs 12.43 crore for development and restoration work at Banganga situated Baneshwari Dham and giving a revised administrative approval of Rs 100.90 crore for under-construction Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Scheme 139 and 169-A along with Rs 31.7 crore for Scheme 94 situated international-level swimming pool.

Chawda said that a crash barrier would be developed at cost of Rs 8.31 crore at the central verge between Gandhi Nagar junction and Luvkush junction. Also, a tender of Rs 2.34 crore was approved for shifting of high tension and low tension lines in IDA’s TPS – 03, Lasudia Mori, Talawali Chanda, Arandiya and Mayakhedi.

IDA has decided to approach state government to relax the terms and conditions to renew lease of houses/plots in Scheme 78.

The board members emphasized that in compliance with the resolution for the construction of Women Entrepreneurship Development Centre in various schemes, plot number 342 of Scheme 78 and plot number 23 of TPS-8 were found suitable. So, they have decided to appoint a consultant for it.

The meeting was attended by collector Asheesh Singh, Indore Municipal Corporation Commissioner Harshika Singh, DFO Mahendra Singh Solanki, T&CP joint director Shubhashish Banerjee and IDA CEO RP Ahirwar.
