KANPUR: Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) will have around 98 per cent more income against the reserve price of 480 residential plots which were sold through e-auction.
The KDA in fact has auctioned 405 plots out of a total 480 plots whose estimated reserve price was Rs 76,95,34,809.00 and were sold at the cost of Rs. 152,73,95,406.00. KDA had put these plots on e-auction on the occasion of Deepawali festival. The plots were developed over the KDA land which were illegally possessed by land sharks and had got to be freed from their possession in a legal battle.
According to law officer and public relations officer in KDA SB Rai, the enthusiasm of the general public towards the KDA plots can be gauged from the fact that against 405 residential plots, a total of 4,645 applicants bid were received for various plots. In many plots, the applicant’s bid was about five times more than the fixed reserve price, he added.
The KDA vice-chairman had directed to issue allotment letters as per terms and conditions to successful bidders and put the remaining plots once again on e-auction, Rai said.
