KHB to construct seven-floor apartment complex at Kenchalagudu, Mysuru, ET RealEstate

MYSURU: The Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) has unveiled a master plan to construct a seven-floor apartment complex at Kenchalagudu on Mysuru’s outskirts.

The Rs 99-crore project will offer 196 two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats for sale. This comes as the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) has put its group housing project on hold despite high demand for such developments in the rapidly expanding city.

KHB has already conducted the demand survey for its flats, group houses, and sites, and received a good response from buyers. The proposed project will come up at Kenchalagudu in Jayapura Hobli, located 2.5 km from the Outer Ring Road stretch on HD Kote Road.

KHB has already built a layout on 180 acres at Kenchalagudu on the city’s outskirts and sold 2,397 sites to its buyers. After 8 years of developing this layout, KHB has now taken up the proposed project on an identified 1.5 acres at Kenchalagudu. This apartment project is named Heritage Heights.

The G7 multi-storied housing complex will have all the features like apartments in Bengaluru, such as a clubhouse, party hall, gym, sports grounds, library, car parking lot, swimming pool, playgrounds for children, solar facility, drinking water availability round-the-clock, park, and security facility, said Krishnappa, assistant executive engineer, KHB Mysuru to TOI.

“It plans to sell 2 BHK flats at the rate of Rs 49.46 lakh and 3 BHK flats costing around Rs 63.09 lakh. Buyers must pay Rs 1,000 registration fees plus a Rs 2 lakh deposit amount for a 2 BHK flat. Rs 1,500 registration fees plus a Rs 3 lakh deposit amount for a 3 BHK flat,” he said.

Speaking to TOI, executive engineer KHB Mysuru BR Jagadeesh said that his board has decided to construct an apartment on the lines of Bengaluru at Kenchalagudu as there is also a huge demand for its flats in Mysuru. It received an overwhelming response for a demand survey of its flats, and the apartment it is constructing in Mysuru.

“It will be helpful for aspirants like me if KHB constructs apartments and sells its flats to buyers when Muda failed to distribute sites to its applicants as they were waiting for several years in Mysuru,” said Sowmya, a bank employee from Kuvempunagar.
