LUCKNOW: In compliance with high court directive, Lucknow Development Authority has decided to inspect all commercial buildings across the city. A special committee will be formed to conduct survey and assess building compliance.
Initially, the inspection will commence from Vibhutikhand, where a dedicated team for the survey will be deployed. LDA will carry out citywide inspections to identify unauthorised construction and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Notably, LDA earlier issued demolition orders for 81 illegally constructed apartments across various zones, following high court’s directive on Jan 2 to take strict action against unauthorised buildings.
An LDA official said, “As per high court order, survey teams comprising zonal officers, engineers and enforcement officials will conduct inspections to identify illegal construction.”
