LUCKNOW: In a good news for people looking forward to buy residential plots, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to open registrations for Mohan Road Yojana during the auspicious period of Navratri in early April. The scheme’s first phase will offer 2,000 plots in Sector 6 and Block 3 through a lottery system.
The ambitious project is gaining momentum with the layout plan for Sector 5 already submitted to RERA for approval.
The scheme will feature 2,442 EWS and 2,282 LIG flats under group housing. The development will also house specialised zones including Health City and IT City, positioning it as a self-sustained township.
“The development work is progressing with over 50% completion in basic infrastructure including drainage, sewerage, and road networks. Sector 6, situated on the acquired land of Kaliakheda village, is in its final stages of development,” an LDA official said.
In a departure from conventional planning, the scheme prohibits residential development along the main road, instead dedicating these spaces for organised vending and commercial activities. The township’s security infrastructure includes a police station and fire station.
The development plan encompasses comprehensive civic amenities including a post office, petrol pump, public health centre, mother-child care facility, public toilets, and educational institutions.
