MHADA invites bids to allot 450 flats under EWS quota in Nashik, ET RealEstate


NASHIK: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), Nashik region, has invited applications online for 450 flats in 15 residential building projects in the city under 20% reservations for economically weaker sections (EWS).

It is mandatory for builders or developers to reserve 20% of flats for EWS in residential projects coming up on or above 4,000 sq metres, according to the norms. This is applicable in cities with a population of over 10 lakh.

“The flats are to be allotted to the EWS through a draw that will take place shortly. The relevant authority has floated an advertisement in this connection,” said a senior official from MHADA. The date and location for the draw of lots will be declared by the authority.

These 15 residential projects are located at Makhmalabad, Satpur, Vihitgaon, Hirawadi, Mhasrul, Wadala, Pimpalgaon Bahula, Dasak, and Deolali in the jurisdiction of the Nashik Municipal Corporation.

People from EWS will have to apply online. The last date is March 6. The list of eligible beneficiaries will be declared on the portal of the MHADA.

MHADA officials said, “Since 2020, 1,328 flats in 157 residential projects were allotted to low-income groups. As many as 33 residential building projects were completed in the city to date on and above 4,000 sq metres of land, which made 1,485 flats available. Of these, 1,328 flats were allotted to people from low-income groups.
