Offices to walls, 8 illegal colonies on 12 acres razed, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate

GURUGRAM: The enforcement wing of town and country planning department (DTCP) on Friday cleared 12 acres prime agricultural land in Sohna after demolishing eight illegal colonies that had more than 50 structures apart from offices of property dealers, road network and boundary walls.

District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav said a massive demolition drive was carried out in Sohna with the help of earthmovers in presence of police force.

Four unauthorised colonies, carved out on permit line in the revenue estate of Bhondsi village — wherein 24 under-construction structures, 10 boundary walls, one aluminium gate factory and 600m of road network — were demolished.

A newly carved unauthorised colony was demolished in the revenue estate of Ghamroj village after a complaint on the CM window. The road network of another under-construction illegal colony in the same village, spread over 4.5 acre, was demolished.

Two unauthorised colonies carved out in the revenue estate of Mahendwara village — covering 4 acres — wherein a property dealer’s office, two structures along with road network were demolished.

Meanwhile, the department also conducted an anti-encroachment drive in New Gurgaon. During the drive in Vatika India Next, an illegal gate at E Block was demolished, another unauthorised escalator in Tehran IRIS Mall in Sector 85 was sealed and the encroachment in the open space at Sapphire 83 Mall was removed.
