VARANASI: Governor Anandiben Patel on Wednesday distributed approval certificates, residential and agricultural land allotments, and house keys under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister housing schemes at an event held at Panchsheel College in Mawai Kala village panchayat in Mirzapur district on Wednesday. She also distributed educational kits for Anganwadi centres, tricycles for the differently-abled, revolving fund demo cheques for NRLM group members, and other kits and certificates related to departmental schemes.
Additionally, the Governor performed traditional ceremonies for pregnant mothers and newborns. She emphasised the importance of financial management training for women under the NRLM group’s Bank Sakhi scheme and urged them to use their earnings wisely. She also highlighted the success of govt housing schemes in providing relief to the poor and discussed efforts to make India TB-free by 2025.
The Governor praised the work of the Green Army in addressing social issues and stressed the importance of education for both boys and girls. Speaking on the occasion,Union minister Anupriya Patel highlighted the govt’s efforts to improve the health and welfare of women and children. She urged mothers to take advantage of govt schemes for free healthcare and vaccinations. The minister also discussed the govt’s commitment to eradicating TB and providing health insurance for senior citizens.
Various items were distributed to beneficiaries, including pre-school educational kits for Anganwadi centres, certificates under the sponsorship scheme for those freed from begging, a demo cheque of 5.73 crore for women’s groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, and certificates and demo cheques under the chief minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign and ODOP funding scheme.
