NOIDA: Yamuna Expressway Authority has formed a committee to investigate allegations involving senior officials, including an officer on special duty (OSD), for allegedly issuing completion certificates to 10 kiosk owners who were yet to initiate any construction.
The Authority will also revoke the land allotted to the kiosks in sectors 32, 22D, 20 and 17A under various commercial department schemes. The completion certificates were issued to them between May and July.
“Rules require all such files to be presented to me for approval, but that did not happen. the certificates were issued at the commercial department level,” YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said. He added additional CEO Shruti has been directed to investigate the charges.
The certificates were issued by a manager of the commercial department and have the signatures of senior officials, including an OSD and DGM finance.
Officials said the matter had repercussions on other YEIDA schemes as the 10 kiosk allottees, with their false functional certificates, could eat into the chances of other eligible applicants applying for residential plots. Once a completion certificate is issued, allottees are usually put in the reserve category for residential plot schemes too, which increase their chances of obtaining plots in the YEIDA region.
