JAIPUR: Property buyers in the city will have a smother experience of name transfer starting May as Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is establishing a comprehensive data bank of all properties in its jurisdiction. The buyers need not apply for the name transfer process as the names of new buyers would be automatically updated in JDA’s records, said officials.

JDA is integrating its Centralised Property Repository Management System (CPRMS) with three other portals – 90-A portal of local self-governance department, e-registration portal of stamp and revenue department, and e-dharti portal of Revenue Board. Officials said this integration ensures all essential and historical records pertaining to a plot become accessible on JDA’s website.

“Govt has granted necessary authorisation to JDA to retrieve data from the three portals and synchronise it with JDA’s portal. IT officials from JDA are presently executing the integration work, which is likely to conclude by April 30,” said a senior JDA official.

Once the data amalgamation is complete, residents can access this information by clicking on the master plan link on JDA’s portal. This enables prospective buyers to conduct preliminary verification before finalising property purchases.

“Once a property is acquired, buyers would apply online for change of the owner’s name. With all historical data accessible on JDA’s website, the JDA official concerned would merely needs to complete the formality of updating JDA’s record. Buyers need not visit JDA premises with numerous documents,” added the official.

If JDA’s jurisdiction expands under the Master Plan 2047, the civic body would initiate accessing details of the additional areas from these three govt websites, said officials.
