JAIPUR: The revenue wing of JMC-Greater has this year set a new record for collection of urban development (UD), house tax and advertisement tax, officials said on Tuesday. In the financial year 2023-24, JMC-G earned a revenue of more than Rs 147 crore, said officials.
The municipal corporation collected a revenue of Rs 56 crore by auctioning advertising sites in financial year 2023-24, which is around 80% more than the previous financial year.
Deputy commissioner for revenue, Janardan Sharma, said, “Revenue of Rs 70.22 crore has been collected as urban development tax/house tax till March 31, which is about 22% more than last year. As a result of successful efforts of revenue branch of all the zones, we have been able to achieve this highest target compared to previous years.”
Under advertisement tax, this year JMC-G collected Rs 13.23 crore, which is 40% more than the previous financial year.
