Jordan Chiles made her name as an elite athlete, but the 23-year-old Olympic gold medalist is hoping to tumble into real estate someday after her time as a professional gymnast comes to a close. “‘The future’ is such a huge word, but there are so many things that you can do within that future,” Chiles shared with the audience at the Teen Vogue Summit this weekend in LA, per People. “Well, whenever that happens, I’m going to go into real estate. I love building. I love being creative. I love seeing things just be designed in different ways.”

Chiles, a fan-favorite for her floor choreography, noted that she “100%” would also consider pursuing a career as a singer and actress, but these future endeavors are really all part of a larger mission to build a successful brand for herself. “And to make sure everybody understands that Jordan Chiles is Jordan Chiles, not just as an athlete, but also as a human,” she said.

The gymnast, who recently made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut, certainly wouldn’t be alone if she decides to dive into a career in real estate after her time in competition wraps. Stars across all arenas—including a variety of former athletes—have famously made the pivot to real estate, like basketball star Grant Hill who now runs Hill Ventures and former professional soccer player Zach Steinberger, who is now a Compass real estate agent in Florida. Big-name broker Ryan Serhant of Owning Manhattan originally moved to New York City to start an acting career and boasts nearly 20 episodes of the longtime soap As the World Turns on his resume. And then there’s the motley crew on Selling Sunset, like All My Children alum Chrishell Stause and empanada entrepreneur Emma Hernan.

Wherever Chiles ends up professionally, she clearly knows how to face an obstacle or two. After competing alongside teammate and friend Simone Biles in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Chiles was stripped of her individual bronze medal and was unable to appeal the decision. It seems she’s taking the unfortunate outcome in stride. As she told CNN last month, “Things can be really, really hard in your life and things may be stripped from you, and you’re going to have to deal with that and understand that you need to fight for what you’re fighting for.” Sounds like someone you’d trust to go to bat for you in the dog-eat-dog world of real estate.
