Joss & Main Kodie Upholstered Sleeper Sofa

Model tested: Joss & Main Kodie Upholstered Sofa
The details: Joss & Main’s Kodie sofa offers more than 50 different fabric styles to help you truly personalize your sofa to its surroundings. The peformance linen fabric I chose was ready in just a few weeks and came with completely free white-glove delivery. As a standalone couch, the cushions are very comfy and the frame very solidly constructed. And as a true pullout bed in addition, it contains a queen-size mattress that folds out when guests pass through which is thinner than a regular bed but still supportive.

Before delivery

What’s the story behind the brand?

No one needs an introduction to Wayfair, we hope—they’re a massive go-to for affordable, contemporary furniture.

Price: How much does it cost? Are there payment plans available?

The variation of the Kodie I received comes in just under $2,100 but other color and fabric options vary slightly in price. There is also an option to finance your new sofa with a Wayfair credit card.

What are the upholstery or customization options? Did you choose any?

Many customizations are available for this made-to-order piece (over 50 in fact) and, depending on your choices, delivery time will vary as well as price. I went with the Conversation Capri fabric, which looks and feels like a performance linen and can be ready in as few as four weeks.

What is the lead time for customization, manufacturing, and delivery?

This is dependent on your choices for material and color choice, but after I clicked around on a few options, four to five weeks to my NYC zipcode seems standard.

Delivery and assembly

What was the delivery process like?

This sofa comes with free white glove delivery, which is absolutely clutch. The delivery team will bring the piece into the room of your choosing, unwrap, install, and take the packaging with them when they go.

What was the assembly process like? How long did it take and how many people?

Unfortunately, we were dealing with COVID when the sofa arrived and weren’t able to accept the white glove delivery. This was no fault of the delivery company, stuff happens! Once everyone was feeling better, it was quite the lift to get the piece up several flights of stairs with two people, so I would highly recommend not getting sick before your sofa arrives if you can avoid it!
