KALYAN: A 10-storey building in Kalyan, Yusuf Height, illegally built on land earmarked for a garden and night shelter, will be razed by KDMC after monsoon.
Recently, EOW of Thane police, lodged a complaint against the builder, Salman Dolare, his aide Faraz Hare, and two others for unlawfully construction on a reserved plot without requisite nod from KDMC. With fake permission documents of KDMC, they duped buyers and caused revenue loss to the govt.
Complainant Nishar Sheikh said when he brought this to the notice of KDMC, the building was declared ‘unauthorised’, and an order to demolish it was issued, but no concrete action was taken.
Sheikh alleged some officials are complicit in shielding the illegal building.
KDMC has resolved to demolish the building after questions were raised about allowing such a building to come up on a reserved plot, and sale of flats with fraudulent documents.
Tushar Sonawane, assistant commissioner of KDMC, said they will issue a notice to the builder this week and file a case.
Activist Rupesh Bhoir who is assisting flat-buyers has urged the KDMC chief to take stringent action against responsible officials who tried to protect the building, to deter other unscrupulous developers.
