NEW DELHI: Kaushal Kishore, minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said that there are tremendous opportunities in the real estate sector. Luxury real estate has a huge opportunity for all developers in the coming years as India has a huge requirement for affordable houses to meet the basic necessities for all citizens.
Kishore was speaking at an event organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in New Delhi.
He also highlighted the importance of the steps taken to provide housing for all and affordable housing.
Chittaranjan Dash, principal commissioner, Delhi Development Authority said that the government has played a vital role in providing luxury housing to all and in the coming 10 to 15 years has tremendous growth for the real-estate sector. With a GDP contribution of around 13% in this sector apart from multiple effects of warehousing, schools, hospitals, etc., regulatory and policy changes play a vital role in the luxury real estate segment.
Rajeev Talwar, former president, PHDCCI said that this is the best time to be in real estate due to much easier access to finance and the availability of land. RERA has improved transparency in the real estate sector and brought accountability for the timely delivery of projects.
