KALYAN: In order to ensure that home buyers in Kalyan-Dombivli are not cheated and the common people can easily get information about which buildings are legal and which buildings are illegal in the city, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) as per new guidelines of state government has now ordered all developers of legal buildings to put up project related details on boards outside their construction sites.

On this board, developers have been instructed to write all the information like building permission number, architect name, structural engineer, land details etc.

While issuing instructions, the Municipal Corporation has said that if the builders do not put this information on the board of construction site within three days, then action will be taken against such developers.

It may be recall that several areas like Dombivli, Titwala and 27 villages in KDMC limits are famous for illegal constructions. Last year some developers crossed their limits when to sell their flats in illegal buildings they even prepared forged Maha RERA Certificates and other forged buildings permission related documents resulting when incident came to light at least 15 persons including many developers and those prepared forged documents were arrested by the SIT that was formed to probe the case.

Disha Sawant, additional director town planning department of KDMC said, “As per state government order it is mandatory for developers to put board outside construction site information related to projects details. With this order, we have instructed developers to install boards within three days”.

Sawant further said, “The move will help home buyers to confirm whether the project is legal or illegal by cross verifying details put on board with KDMC’s Town Planning department permission page”.
